At Banner Elk Winery & Villa we believe that great things come from great soil. We work with nature – the microbes in the soils, the native flowers, the bees, the butterflies and birds – to create a patch of world we think in which we should all live. We hope when you come you will linger and explore the grounds.

Wander through the vineyards and the blueberry fields. Discover the specialty gardens we've tucked away in little micro-niches here and there.

Come when the snow blows and the winds howl and the fire beckons. Come when our early crocus peek through the last of the melting snow. Come when the frogs burst into song and the tulips and daffodils welcome spring. Watch summer begin with a blaze of azaleas, daisies, and rhododendron. Visit in the fall when the colors spill across the mountains. Pick a pumpkin for your table from our heirloom pumpkins from around the world – blue, green, yellow, orange, red and white. It's a place to enjoy in all seasons.

Linger awhile. Find our patches of herbs and mints used in our teas and breakfasts, with edible flowers nestled in. Stay overnight in The Villa and request our blueberry specialties or our fresh herb omelets for breakfast. Go "wild" and try our organically grown Italian dandelion. Have your coffee while you stroll with the wild turkeys and deer in the mornings. Sip a glass of wine and watch the swallows play above the pond in the evenings.
